What Good are Artists Anyway? A musical mélange & desultory panel discussion for the fatally curious, moderated by Jason Cutmore with pianists Timothy Anderson, Dr. Lynn Hughey Engelbert and Rick Phillips. Works by Bach, Soler, Halffter and others.

SUNDAY JULY 9 2017 at 5 p.m.

Spanish Music Extravananza: A concert with pianists Adam Kent and Jason Cutmore of beloved solo and duo piano works by Spanish composer Enrique Granados, with tapas, wine, and desserts during intermission.

BURGOS INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL July 12-19 2017 Burgos, Spain

Gifted music students from around the world study with distinguished musicians, compete in competitions, and offer public performances. Nightly concerts by faculty artists, including Dr. Adam Kent.

Faculty Chamber Music Concert, including Brahms’s Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 108, with violinist Gary Kosloski and pianist Adam Kent (others works and performers tba)

Faculty Chamber Music Concert, including Schumann’s Piano Quartet in Eb Major, Op. 47, with pianist Adam Kent, violinist Gary Kosovski, cellist Shmuel Magen, and violist Daniel Lorenzo (others works and performers tba).

FRIDAY JULY 16, 2017 at 7 p.m.

Lecture-recital by Adam Kent on Spanish music from the entire Iberian peninsula, including works by Mompou, Albeniz, Granados, and Turina.

ESCUELA INTERNACIONAL DE MUSICA July 20-30, 2017 Oviedo, Spain

Pianist Adam Kent teaches and performs at this prestigious international music program.

Faculty Chamber Music Concert of the Cursos de Verano, including Mendelssohn’s Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano in D Minor, Op. 49 with violinist Alexander Detisov and pianist Adam Kent. Cellist and remainder of program tba.

MONDAY AUGUST 7, 2017 at 8 p.m.

Pianist Adam Kent and violinist Elena Peres team up in Johannes Brahms's Piano Trio No. 2 in a festival Faculty Chamber Music Concert. Cellist and rest of program tba.

To handle the highly varied piano chores of this rhapsody requires a soloist of exemplary skill. This was fully realized by the presence of Adam Kent...The Rhapsody's extensive demands were brilliantly met. His encore the 'Dance of the Shepherdess' was a delight.- Sarasota Herald Tribune
